Hi,

Are Cisco Gigabit Ethernet ports all the same wavelength?

That is should every gigabit ethernet optical connection work with every other gigabit ethernet connection?

No, not all GBIC's are created equal. Only similar GBIC will connect to each other. Some GBIC's are MMF and some are SMF.
