Hi, i am quite new to this, so forgive me if this is a foolish question.
We have a small intranet running at work, and on one of the pages we need the users to be able to open and view word documents. When i've tried this with a simple link, i get a dialog box asking me do i want to save the document or open from current location. I open the document in the browser window but can make changes.
Ideally i would like to open the document without being asked to save or open and for the document to be read-only.
If i can be pointed in the right direction i would be very grateful.
Many Thanks.

Convert them to html.

There are many problems linking to office docs over a browser and not many solutions at the moment.

Thanks Cheech for your reply. I've tried this and i was then told that the documents will be getting regularly updated by another section in our department.
So i am still looking for the outcome in want.
Thanks again.

The way I've set it up in the office is by making a link on our intranet opening the folder where these (word\excel} documents exist.
