Opening record in form from pop up form

Can you please help I amd trying to open a record on a form from a pop up form access through my database switchboard. It is intended to work something like
On database opening - switchboard opens (works fine)
Click find record on switchboard to open pop up form (works fine)
Select record id using combo box on pop up form(works fine)
Click command button to find record based on selection (this is the part I am having trouble with)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried creating a query using the data in the combo box?

"SELECT * FROM tblRecords WHERE recID = '" & cboBox.Value & "';"

^^ Assuming the recID is a string
