Hi,

Since we migrate from Office97 to Office2003 we have te following problem with excel,

- When opening a file, it first start to calculate. This proces is using 100% cpu time en takes about 3 minutes! Normally in Office97 it was 28 seconds.

I've try everyting, but it looks like there is no solution for this problem, so if anyone can help me, please...

Thanks in advance,

Eddy

What happens when you have let it calc, saved the file, and then re-open it in 2003?

Excel 2003 will automatically do a full recalc on files created in earlier versions, so you see a hit initially, but it should be a one time deal, unless of course you don't save it, in which case Excel will do it all over again next time you open it.

Hi Ken,

When I open the file, let it calc and saved it in Excel2003, even when I save it with an other name, the problem is still there. It looks like everytime when I open the file its doing a full recalc.

Regards,

Edwin
