Hi All,

I was wondering whether its possible to open a link in a new window which is in a different browser than the page which the link is on?

Mainly, there are users using Netscape 4.7 as their default browser, but I want them to be able to click on a specific link (to an application that works best in IE) and for it to open up automatically in IE, even though the user is using Netscape 4.7. The JS code for that link can detect the browser setting and if the user is using netscape 4.7, the new link will automatically be opened in IE.

Is this possible?

Thanks all!

I don't think, at least with javascript that is viable.
These kind of settings (browser default) are on the client and that alone makes it sound impossible.
