I am using an Access2000 database
I have given it a password admin

Set db = OpenDatabase("C:\abc\xyz.mdb", , , "PWD = admin")

This keeps coming up with invalid password

??Can you use the above where an Access2000 database in in use??

are u set the password in database? if u didn't set it, u no need to declare password in open database.
"admin" is default. declare for others

Have tried various names. I think it must be something to do with access2000

Did you set up the password as a simple database password, or as a user password?
Are you sure admin is the password and not the user name?

Have worked it out
";pwd=admin")
Thanks for the replys
