I have a link to a txt file on one of my web pages. When you click on it, it opens it within the browser. Does anyone know how to make it open in notepad?

Opena txt file in notepad from IE

One way may be through ActiveX, but that is strongly discouraged. It is IE-only, prompts a security window (as it should), and can be used for dangerous purposes (such as running "format c:" in command prompt).
