I want a macro within a Word document that will run when the document is opened. This macro will determine the path the active document is located in, then assign the mail merge data file name to the same path for this document. I have an Access database that will output various lists of names and companies, based on which city has been selected in the Access database. Each of these lists will be put into their own subdirectory based on the city selected. The word document that will use this list will be a copy of the original word document, and I want the document to adapt to the subdirectory (therefore city) that the document finds itself in. I can write the macro, I just want to know how to register the macro so the user does not always get the "unsafe macro" message when the document is opened. I know I can shut off the security feature, but I think there should be some way that I can sign the macro I write and have the Word document not keep asking the "unsafe macro" question. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this?

Thanks,
Vic
