Hello,
I have a few terminal services (W2k) users, and I'd like them to be able to access a company shared calender that we have stored on our Exchange 2000 server with Outlook 2000 clients. The users in question are remote users and normally download their mail from us using the Internet Mail only method. In order to share the calender, I figured I'd give them access through Outlook 2000 when they come in through Terminal Services, which works just fine. Everyone at our facility that works onsite is set up with Outlook as Corporate or Workgroup configuration and have easy access to a shared calender.
However, I would like to eliminate the confusing situation of having two Outlook programs the remote users would essentially use. I would like their own remote computer's Outlook program to download mail via Internet Mail accounts as always, and I would like them to tap in through Terminal Services to view and add to the company calender. Can I make Outlook open up by default to the company calender instead of the Inbox? Further, can I remove all folders from view except the public folders where the calender is? My fear is that users will get the Terminal Services view of Outlook confused with their actual and local copy of Outlook 2000 installed on their hard drive. They might start reading and deleting things there through Terminal Services, and then switch back to their computer's local copy of Outlook and not find their E-mails anymore and blame it on computer problems (stranger things have happened).
Thanks!
Shawn
