Open Files Limitation on Windows 2000

Please i need help about default open files limitation on Windows 2000 Server.

How may open files that windows 2000 server can handles ?

Can we change the default parameter for open files ?

I need to set windows 2000 to handles till 3000 open files.

I say it just depends on the resources like memory,processor ,etc.

I give you example in UNIX or Linux that has parameter:

max_openfiles=(NUM)

So we can setup the maximum open files we want, i wonder if we can setup this on windows 2000 server
