Open a from based on a condition?

Ok, here it goes. I am rebuilding a database for work. What I am trying to do is have a subform open based on the value of a combo box. Basically what I am looking for is when the combo box is changed to lets say "Software" it would open a subform for the "Software". I have been looking through the forums and trying many things but I can not get it to work. I am guessing that I need to put some code into the afterupdate event, but I can't figure out what to put there. Not even sure if this is possible. Anyone have any ideas?
