I was amazed to learn today that ONSTREAM was kaput! Recently I tried to backup my winME boot partition using STOMP BackUp My PC, which allows selection of the the DI-30 as a storage medium. Everything ran fine until the very end when it said that the media was corrupt. So 4 hours of wasted effort. I checked the versions of Echo: Last firmware update of my system was version Flash 1.09 and echo software was EC 3.3.99 both in 1991. Are there newer versions available anywhere? Really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Yes. And also updated the STOMP BKUMYPC to version 5.0 from 4.81. Tried again with tape. So I wonder if it is firmware for the DI-30. Any other ideas? apprciate any thoughts. thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the tip, but it appears that firmware 1.09 is the last version for the internal DI-30. So my problem is more likely associated with the Veritas/STOMP software.

I'm going to remove the DI-30 from the system and replace it with a DVDR/W.

thanks again for your quick reply.

My next suggestion was going to be to move the device to a different computer with a different OS and test it, and if you're still having problems, its likely the device itself.
