I am sure this has come up a thousand times and I searched but could find nothing about this. I have a database with one main form and many queries. When the database is opened by users I would like for only the form to show. I do have queries in a dropdown list on the form to run. Basically, I only want the form to show when the database is open but I want to be able to get to the menu's etc when I need to.

Please help.

From the tools menu select your startup options.. (search help if needed) You can "hide" the database and queries from view... Also you can specify the "startup" form.

I hope the helps..

Once you have it set to open only the form you can bypass the starup conditions by holding the shift key while opening the database. That will let you get in to edit as needed

Also, with the database window hidden at startup, you can press F11 at any time to bring up the database window for editing.

to prevent users from using the f11 key set the modial property of the form to yes
