Ok, here is some more info for the vaserver pending.
R4.0 on S3500 with an AG4040, configured as AG4000-800-2T1,
Computer named AMHI-ONEX, service acct name used, "Sierra".
Exchange is a 2003. Permissions given per site prep guide.
Speech on the voice subnet connected to an Extreme Networks switch. (Have also tried it on the data network with cisco equipment) no difference...vaserver pending shows up.
After a reload the vaserver is running until its stopped gracefully to load a patch or a reboot, then it never returns to the running status.
The last time I reloaded it and had the vaserver running, I tried to add a new user from SAUM. I wouldn't take it and came back with error saying possible reasons are:
1. VASERVER not running.....it was.
2. VAManager not running.....it was.
3. The service account in the Exchange MMC may not be unique enough. There is nothing similar to "Sierra" in the Exchange. But there are computer names close to the name of the SA S3500, but I haven't seen any doc's saying that has to be unique. If I add a user without the exchange alias, it completes successfully.
Someone suggested maybe a anti-virus software on the Exchange could be the cause, anyone with info on that?
To me it seems like a permission issue, but then why would the vaserver run at first until you stop and start it.
Anyone have bad software issues?
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great, also I any one the info/config seems incorrect, please let me know.
Thanks,
