Hi guys just gone live on One-X portal at a customers site who used to use phonemanger Pro with speed dials tabs. In these tabs they would have the users form each remote IP office as BLF's. Is there an easy way in one X that we can import the users into the Tab's you can set up, or is it now just a manual right click and tick the box of the group you want them in? If so this seems like a very slow process especially when I have 150 users. If it is manual thing can I at least setup 1 user and then import there whole settings to everyone else or a template maybe. Seems Like an Obvious thing to have but cant find any way of doing it

Any help apreciated

Which version?

From the manager manual:
XMPP Group
Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) is a communications protocol for presence status and Instant Messaging (IM). Select XMPP to enable presence information and instant messaging within a defined group of XMPP enabled one-X clients. Two users can see each other's presence and exchange instant messages only if they are members of the same XMPP group.
A user can be a member of zero or more groups. A user that are not a member of any group is automatically added to the default system XMPP group. As a result, if no XMPP groups are defined, then all users are in the system XMPP group. If a user is a member of a very large XMPP group a large amount of network traffic can be generated. This can be problematic for mobile users.

I have not yet used it so I don't know how it works and how it appears in the One-X client but it sounds interesting though.

HBPSYS, 9.0 has an option to import the personal directory.
You need to build SCV as you cannot import the contacts from phonemanager in to One-X

Hi thanks tlpeter do you mean the personnel tab in manager as it does this by default when I tested it. You can also import from outlook which creates an outlook tab. The problem I'm facing is that it's hard for the users to see in one place the blf icons (internal users). The only way I can do this is to create a tab and add them one at a time but this takes hours and I have over 100,users . if they search from the system tab this search's the internal users as will as the each phonesystems internal directory , it doesn't split the view like phonemanager does . I'm not having a moan as there is some really good stuff in one x its just Avaya are forcing people off phonemanager pro onto this and we are finding it hard to set it up to please the users - is there any easier way .

Thanks for your input

I am afraid the is no other way.
