Hi guys!

I´m having a very hard time with one-x mobile (ios/android), 1xp and IPO r8 (power user lic). Everything is connected, chat an presence works perfectly, also twinning. But I just can´t understand why station to station calls aren´t working well.

Here´s what happens:

1. Over Wifi: One-x Mobile (configured as work, with it´s unique station id) calls hardphone (station to station), nothing happens.
- Hardphone calls One-x mobile (set as work, with it´s unique station id), nothing happens.
- Hardphone calls hardphone (twinned with one-x portal), works fine.
- One-x mobile (configured as mobile) calls hardphone, callback generates an external call and connect the call.
- Hardphone calls Onex mobile (configures as mobile), works fine but as an external call.

The point is, we have remote workers in other countries and they need to be connected to our IPO, over the internet, to recieve/originate calls from/to our central office in Brazil.

I used to work on another company, larger one, with a CM/SES/SBC/ec500 environment and everything worked perfectly.

Any idea if this is a configuration problem or a feature problem?

Thanks!

When you use work phone then you must have a hardphone ocnfigured.
You will use that phone and not the mobile phone.

Ok. But how will it work over the scenario I exposed? I mean, if the owner of the hardphone station (in Brazil) is travelling to Holland, connected with one-x mobile (through wifi or 3g VPN, with twinning turned on)and he needs to speak with his co-worker in Brazil. Let´s just call them n° 1 and 2.

The way it´s working now, after connecting through the VPN, n° 1 (Holland) dials the n° 2 (Brazil) extension number. 1xp starts the communication process and, after connecting the call, it initiates a callback process (if the 1x-mobile is set as mobile). This is terrible because it will generate an international call.

If n°1's 1x mobile is set as work, it will ring on n°1's hardphone in Brazil after the connection process, and the point is let travellers have extensions wherever they go around the globe.

One x mobile wil always use the cellular network for a voice call.

Indeed it will.
I forgot to answer :)
You cannot change this behavior as it uses data for the signaling and GSM for the call.

Woa... that´s really bad news... what if I use 3rd party SIP licenses and connect with Counterpath's BRIA? Would you think it will be able to use it as an extension, mantainning the UC capabilities?

You can use a SIP extension and then twin to that so yes you can.

Not always. You can use wifi and one x mobile but must have split dns configured. If not configured correctly then the phone will not register correctly when wifi is enabled. Also should be able to call internal extensions with no issue.

Cool! That´s a relief! Thanks guys! You rock!
