Hello,

Does anyone know how to access the normal Avaya internal directory on a one-x communicator?

Thanks.

It's not done that way.

The One-X directory can connect to your email contacts, and active directory databases.

That's it.

Actually it can be done that way and I found out how.

You basically use the phone directory key and enter names via the number keypad as you would on the phone and use call-display button to call the name found.

The only stipulation is that you must have line view activated under settings view on the one-x interface.

Hope this helps others out.

Cheers.

Yes, but that's not using the directory feature of One-x Communicator. It's just using display features.

The directory feature that you use to look up contacts in One-x really only integrates with Outlook, Active Directory, and Lotus Notes email. If you integrate with both AD, and say, Outlook, it will search both to find a contact for you.

Using the Directory button is really just remote control of a phone feature. While that works, it's not really One-x integrated with a searchable database.
