HI All

I have an issue with one way speech on a SCN.

Usually i am aware that this is normally a routing issue but here is the scenario.

Both IP500 v5 (22) with 1616 handsets 1.300 firmware

site a is on a 192.168.15.x site be is on a 192.168.16.x

draytek routers with a pptp vpn between sites

System status at both ends is showing that the SCN is up as is Monitor. Using System status you can ping both the IP 500 and the Handsets at both the remote sites

But if you make a call you get one way speech.

I have removed allow direct media path

Any thoughts ??

it sounds like the h323 setup data is passing (1719/1720) but the speach packets are being dropped udp 49152+

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

unfortunatley we are hitting a brick wall. they are saying that no ports are being blocked
I have heard that one before ;-)
i suges running system monitor or wire shark & seing if the speech packets are realy traversing the vpn

1 packet of smarties says the data guys have missed something :)

Do you have a POT phone on each site? if so ring from pot phone to pot phone and see what happens.

Also try pot phone to remote IP Phone

>1 packet of smarties says the data guys have missed something

I don't think I'll take that bet.

I would check for a typo on the subnetmask, in the IPO and on the routers. It needs to be 255.255.255.0

It could be 255.255.252.0 or 255.255.0.0 this won't work.
