ONE WAY SILENCE EXPERIENCED MOMENTARILY WHILE ON A CALL

Hello,
I have a g650/s8720 system and recently we have been experience moments of silence when on call. That is, at some point one party would be unable to hear the other party.However, it normalizes after some time. This happens intermitently. Any idea what could be wrong. Thanks

Are you voice over IP at all? Trunks, stations?

yes we are on VOIP

do a lis meas ds1 log xxxx where xxx is the card position of your ds1 card. You are looking for errored seconds or more particuarly SES which is serious errored seconds. This highlights times when the connection from the switch back to the exchange has errors and this can be the cause of the one way transmission.

Run these commands for all your ds1's and if you have errors you need to sperak to your telco.

i would do this check you suggested but this complaint also occurs with internal calls.
