I just upgraded my machine, took my old parts and upgraded an older WinME Machine. Essentially all that changed was that I put the older WinMe Harddrive (40GB) on my old Asus A7V8X MB. When I booted it up it detected all the new hardware fine and I installed the drivers off of the MB's driver CD. The onboard LAN and 1394 IEEE Host Controller, along with a pci modem, however, all state that the bios did not assign them an IRQ and to enable them in the bios. I went into the bios but there is nowhere for me to enable or change any settings regarding any of those devices. Any ideas how to remedy this problem? Thanks.

I would have and I was afraid I might have to but it was a actually a customer's 5 year old computer and they no longer had their disks. They also wanted to keep their current files intact if at all possible. I managed to get it working by loading the defaults on the bios. Thanks for the suggestion.
