On solaris 8, when pressing TAB, does not complete the file name? 1

Hello ,

newbie question:

On my solaris 8 when I press tab it does not complete the file name and I'm in the current path (dirctory) of the file.

So when I press tab after writing the initial charactors of a file name, the cursor moves by a TAB rather then complting the file name.
Could you help?

If you're in the C shell trying to use file completion,
then it's the ESC key that does the completion, not
the TAB key
