Hi there,

In my office environment, all users with OL2003 SP1 in caching mode running on XPSP2. For 2 particular users, their OL2003 somehow will automatically go to offline mode. When it went to offline, machine can ping the mail server, can ping internet, there should be no problem with network. User just uncheck "work offline" from lower right corner then it connected again without prompting password again.

I really have no idea what's wrong with these 2 machines, wondering any suggestion/solution?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've seen this a few times and in each instance it was user error that put the Outlook client in Offline mode. Are you confident that these two users did not do it by mistake?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Thx Mark for your comments.

Unfortunately everytime when I reach the scene, they already went into offline mode & as expected, users always said they didn't do it by mistake or whatsoever....

I have found I can guilt them into not making an issue out of it by reminding them to check that they are online and not calling me for that.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
