OK I am w2k server oriented but I need help

I have built an NT4 server made it a BDC but now I want to upgrade it to a PDC <what is my next step >>I am lost

Promote it to a PDC. There is no upgrading involved. If you have a PDC on the network already, you need to demote it to a BDC.

OOpps I am sorry I meant promote it TO a PDC

Open the server manager utility, Select the BDC you want to promote, choose computer, promote to Primary Domain Controller. Click yes to confirm. WMH
