on my laptop... We use outlook 2000 at work using my network logon to access my outlook files. Once i get my new mail, i like to move everthing to seperate sub-folders off my inbox.

My question is when i'm at home i of course cant login to the network and must use a different user id. This is fine but when i open outlook the datafiles are loaded for this user and not my network login.

Is there a way that i can view all my data files for my network logon account while i'm not logged on.

Thanks in advance,

Rizza

Offline folders are tied to the user ID typically. What operating system are you using? joegz

Using windows 2000

With W2K although you are off the network you still should be able to enter your LAN credentials to gain access to the desktop off of the network. (Unless there is a policy on your network that prohibits you from doing so.)

Once you are at the desktop you should be able to call up the offline folders by opening Outlook offline. By using another ID you will never be able to gain access to offline folders that are linked to a different user ID. joegz

Does this apply for Outlook 2002? The laptop that I work on has two email accounts..one on the ISP and a mailbox on the Exchange Server. I have enabled the synchronization of offline folders but when I am offline I do not see all of my mail in the inbox. Any email that I send which has the domain name of our server is not sent and sits in the outbox until I have reconnected to our LAN. I have set up Outlook to place all emails sent to the ISP account to be put in the Exchange mailbox. I do recieve log files in the deleted files folder indicating that my OST files are being synchronized but I still have problems with my email all being present in the inbox. Do you have any suggestions of what might be wrong as I am new to Outlook 2002?

Is the mail missing from the Main Inbox or the sub-folders?

I would be tempted to check that all folders are set to synch. on an Individual basis. right click on each folder and check that the folder is set to be available offline. You will need to do this whilst connected to your Exchange server.
