I am trying to set up an offline folder for a mobile user. In a nutshell, this is how it works in the office. We have a drive on the server which several people access files. Some of the files are user specific and some are not but most are used by all 3 users. The ones that are not specific are updated on almost a daily basis by any one of the 3 different users (photoshop and excel files, etc...) My questions is as follows:
If I set up the mobile user with the offline folder (to sync when she comes back to the office and connects locally after a trip), it will override the current file on the server that may have already been updated. The file most likely would have already been changed by an office user, and if so, when the mobile user comes back to the office, her sync will overwrite the newer version of the file to the older version that is on her laptop. Is there a way that I can get around this so that the current version of the file is not over-written if this happens?
Thanks!
