Office Xp - MS Word. I have these documents that need to be modified but the person who had created them has left our company. I can't <<select all>> and copy paste. I cant modify any thing on the documents. I go to tools>unprotect document and need a password. So, in fact what Im looking for is a way to unprotect the document - crack the password or simply modify these word documents to my likings. Please let me know what can be done,I've run out of ideas here. I wouldn't wnat to retype all those pages from start.

Josh:

Create a new, blank doc. Hit Insert-File and pick your file. As long as you can open it without a password, this will unprotect the document.
