anyone know where office stores the Registered To username? for some reason, every users version of office has taken MY name, which it should not have done, as the Save My Settings Wizard claims not to save that setting..!!

Try this.
Run Word and select: Tools / Options / User info.
In Excel: Tools / Options / General.

was actually after the registry entry, as then we can publish the blank entry to all users (we run terminal servers here)

found it (after an incredibly long search!) in current_user\software\microsoft\office\10.0\common\userinfo

now to try and publish a setting that removes the user info!
