Office files won't Open... Help PLS

Hello,

I have a computer that will not open office files by double clicking them, or right click open. I have tried it in Win. Explorer, and my computer. Plus i have rebooted.

I CAN, however, open the file by opening word or excel THEN opening the file from the "File-Open" Menu..

Any one have any ideas? thanks!

Sounds like your file associations are missing

I thought about that, but it doesnt come up asking how it should open the file, like it does when it doesnt have an association.. it just sits there.. not opening
