I have a network with 20 XP Pro machines - SP1. They are running Office 2002 - SP3. I have all the MS updates and Offices updates. The following problem only happens on 3 machines.
Users that use Word and Excel find that the apps load very slowly and sometimes stop responding. Opening documents, whether on the network or local, can manifest the same behavior.
Usually a restart brings things back up to speed but after the app sits there without being used it boggs down again. This happens whether the computer is left alone or the user simply is busy in another program.
This is driving me nuts and I am hoping I am not the only one this is happening to! (But I hope it is not happening to you ;~)
