Is it true that Vista in fact requires Office 07 to work well?

Does anyone know if Vista works with Paradox (2000)?

I am having serious issues with any number of devices and programs on 64 bit xp, (Palm, for instance, says that drivers will eventually be provided for Vista, but none are planned for XP64 - printer issues - XP foibles "It's the bureaucracy"). (Vector design programs won't work)

Pretty much torn between solving compatibility issues by stepping up to a new set of or not messing things up more than they already are.

I can answer your first question - "no". Older versions of Microsoft Office (and Open Office) will work perfectly well under Vista.

As for your third question I can only make an educated guess that if vendors haven't provided drivers for 64-bit XP they probably won't have provided drivers for 64-bit Vista either.

Apparently they do not intend to provide for XP64. Palm has said so directly. Samsung has indicated as much.

Any idea as to whether older versions of Quickbooks (04) will function?

Where's the Attorney General when you need him?

That is bad news. Had there been any disclaimers, I would not have opted for the system. What's the advantage (real question here) of having AMD64 system with XP32? Just wondering if I don't need to revert.
