Hello,

I have recentally purchased Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition to run on my Windows Xp machine. When I try to start up any of the applications I get a message saying:

"The setup controller has encountered a problem during install". Please review the log files for further information on the error"

There is only an OK button and when I press that I get another box which says:

----------------
Windows Installer

The feature you are trying to install is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package 'EnterpriseWW.msi' in the box below.
----------------

Now before I installed Office Professional I did have an trial version of Office Enterprise installed which I tried to completely remove before installing the professional version.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

Sounds like more of an OS question than an applications one. Would suggest posting in one of the Windows OS fora

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
