Hi

I'm having a weird situation here. Of one of our (brand new) laptops I installed office 2003 Pro. The 'my documents' folder of the user is redirected to a folder on the server. When the user wants to save a document from Office (tried Word and Excel) to his 'my documents' when connected to the server, the program hangs. When I disconnect the network cable, there's no problem to save to the 'offline' my documents folder. This user has logged on to another computer on the network, and there he has no problems saving documents.

Anyone a clue what is happening here?

Thanks

Steven

Ok, this seems to be a network problem. Notepad crashes too. I'll go ask this question in another forum.

Right click on the properties of the LAN Connection and go to properties. Click the configure button for the network card and check the Link speed & Duplex. By default it is at Auto Detect. Make a change and test.
