We have 25 fax machines at our single floor single building corporate location. It is a bit much to say the least.

I wanted to query this group of telecomm guru's to see what type of fax services they are using and why they went to that service. I am also looking for the least cost but efficient solution so I don't see getting a fax server the answer.

We are a Difinity G3si site and I have about an additional 12 users on Message Manager with a fax DID associated with them. I do not want to use up the rest of my precious DID's so have been looking at outside fax services.

Thanks in advance.

Frankly, a fax server is a very affordable solution. You'll still need a few fax machines to send faxes, but far fewer than you have today.

I'd look into a Rightfax (now OpenText) solution. For less than $20K you can have 6 ports of incoming and outgoing fax bandwidth.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

A fax server is not only a very affordable solution, but also a very secure and flexible one. And i think we all know how we see these features in this "intense" economical period...
There are several options on the market. I would recommend some German manufacturers.
I.E - check Visendo

look into Multitech as well. we put a lot of them in and they are pretty inexpensive

Question regarding MultiTech --

We have S8700s and are running ASA 2.1.11. We really like what we've seen of the MultiTech Finder FF830 (and the price!) and are close to purchasing this 8 Port version.

What do I need to connect the 8 analog ports on the MultiTech Fax Finder, to my system?
