Off Hook Hands Free Voice Announce?

Hi there,
This is a long shot but can this be done? IP Office 500 5.0 (18). I have a customer who would like, when he is talking on the phone, and some one has a call for him, to make a voice call to his extension and the voice come over his speaker-phone to announce he has a call. Thanks

Nope,

You can make a shortcode with display message.
The phone will give a short ring and the MWI light will burn.
Only the message will be shown after the call is ended.

Make a shortcode like this:

*73*N#
Display msg
N"; Message"

You can put any message in up to 16 characters
Mind the space just before where the message is entered!!!

@amriddle01 - while it may be silly, this is exactly how Executone IDS worked. We sold more than a few on that very feature...

Thanks for the input everyone. They do have an Executone IDS system. This is the first time someone wanted this feature.It would be nice to be able to do this but we can't have everything. That's not keeping us from replacing the Executone system because they do like all of the features that the IP Office has. Thanks again for the replies.

if your using one x portal or the receptionist has softconsole they can send a message to the display of the phone or use CHAT on one x

Or

Could they have a whisper function setup if they had VM pro
