Hi, I have just taken over administration of our nortel phone system. I am having the worst time figuring out how to change the number of rings on each phone before the voicemail picks up. I have looked over the books that I have but have been unable to find any information on how to do this. I have found info. on changing this on each line, but not on each individual phone. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Amy

Hi Amy,
I believe the setting you are looking for is found under each individual set.
Don't think of it as the Voice Mail picking up the call as much as the phone system giving the call to the Voice Mail system.
Look under set capailities and then you need to set call-forward to the voice mail extension. Also, don't forget to set the number of rings.

...or just read the reply that came in right before mine did that was infinitely more helpful :>)
