I have Win 2000 already installed on partition 1 of drive 0 I have installed win 95 on partition 2 of the same drive.
I would like to make this system dual boot. Is this possable ? How can this be accomplished ? I realize that the conventional way is to load win9x first then win 2000, but I am prevented from doing so.

Thank you in advance for your time and help.
Jeff

You need a drive management tool like partition magic or System commander to do this. Partition Magic is about 40-50$. James Collins

If you right click my computer and go to properties > advanced > startup and recovery are both systems listed as options for the default operating system. If they are you can check the box below the pull down so windows will let you choose which OS to boot from.

Is windows 2000 Fat32 or NTFS?
If it's FAT32, you can do this without any 3rd party software.

Jeff,

All you need to do is edit the boot.ini file and add the proper ARC path for the second drive and correct partition number for win98... the entire process will take you about fifteen seconds and is the best option... You do not need to install third party software and you can always add or remove drives as needed.

I'm sorry, forgot to show an example...

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows 95"

Let me know how it works for you...
