I am working with an existing Access Databse, to try to enhance performance. I have copied the main tables from Access to SQL-Server 7.0 I have then linked them to the Access from end in place of the access tables. When I attempt to open up a form in Access (with a number of subforms on it, all being fed from different tables, all of which I have moved to SQL-Server) I get an error "ODBC-Update on a linked table "tablename" failed" and when I click OK i get another error "[Microsoft][ODBC Sql Server Driver][SQL Server]The Text Ntext and image datatypes cannot be used in the Where, Having or On clause, except with the Like or Is Null predicates.(#306)

I am fairly new at this SQL Server stuff so any help or ideas would be appreciated..

Not sure if this will help but I know when you move tables to SQL from Access the name of the table will then become 'dbo_tablename'. All objects referenceing the table such as queries will need to be modified. Ashley L Rickards

I already renamed the Access tables and gave the SQL tables their old name. So that should not be the issue.
