ODBC - unable to connect

dear all,
can someone please help?
At a customer site, CF server has just been installed on a NT machine. There is an access database which we wish to make an ODBC connection to which is sat on a novell. The ODBC has been created but a connection cannot be made. We are able to connect to a database which is also sat on the NT machine so this makes me believe that the problem may be with the path specified???
Can anyone please offer any advise

Is the NT server located on the same local area network were the access DB exists ??
