ODBC not certified

I am trying to connect my intelligence server on MSTR metadata through a not certified ODBC Microstrategy.
I am not to get along. Is possible to connect through a Oracle ODBC not certified by Microstrategy?

It might help if you specify what oracle version you are running, and then others can comment based on that.

The oracle version i am running is 8.1.7.3. The MSTR metadata is connected through a certified ODBC today but if i change the server (Hardware), i have to change the configurations in intelligence server (Port, Host name etc.). I don't want this.
