Greetings,
A perfectly working XP install has developed an issue that is confusing to say the least. We use a published app that uses a system DSN to connect to a sybase db.
In the last couple of days some users have been unable to run the app as the ODBC connection that authorises their use of the app is failing. The System DSN is correct (key criteria Quoted Identifiers is on) but checking the user ODBC settings in the registry and quoted identifiers are set to off???
By deleting the ODBC section of the registry for that user the problem is fixed. The problem doesn't occur for all users - some pick up the correct ODBC setup and all works as expected. It appears that old default ODBC configs are being picked up by some users??? Any ideas????
I have restarted the server twice since the problem began.
Also shouldn't all users get their own reg entry. Some users seem to not show up, most do though?
Thanks
