Hi,
Wondering if you could help!
I have a database set up on an SQL Server 7.0, with a login name and a user name set up for that particular database.
I need to use an odbc connection without NT authentication as I have both NT and Novell operating systems - some users authenticating on the nt domain, others authenticating on the Novell server using a login script.
When in the odbc, I deselect the nt authentication, and select the sql server authentication, type in the user name and password, I get an error - Connection failed.
Anyone any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Are you sure that sql server is set up for both types of security? Check the server, security settings in enterprise manager.

Yep, it's set up for both types of security. Strange one isn't it. Any other idea's??
