OD error VxD sbpci (01)

sbpci.vxd is a driver file for a Creative sound card.
Before playing a game, right click on 'My Computer', click Properties/Device Manager, click the + next to 'Sound, Video, and Game Controllers', double click the sound card, check the box for 'Disable in this hardware profile', click OK, restart if prompted, and play a game.
If it does not freeze, then go back to the sound card in Device Manager, uncheck the box for 'Disable....', restart if prompted, and uninstall and reinstall the sound card's drivers.
If that does not help, then check the Creative site for updated drivers for your sound card.
