when i load up a project stored on a network drive that uses ocx controls(also stored on the network drive), it always brings up an error saying that it was unable to load the control except when i run it on the machine where the ocx's were compiled. i would like to be able to edit the project from several different machines but don't want to have to recompile each ocx locally everytime the project is accessed from a different computer on the network.
when i make the executable, the exe can be run from anywhere. is there a way to make the ocx's 'native to the project'(?) so that it can be opened by any computer on the the network without ocx errors?
i hope that made sense, i'm still new with the active x thing. thanks

The OCX's need to be registered on the machine that's running the code.

If you use PDW it normally gets handled automatically. If not you will have to run regsvr32 for each OCX Let me know if this helps
