Octel 200 - Security Code reset

I can help you with this issue.
The commands are for OCTEL Serenade 200/300 and VMX-100.
There is a difference between the commands "modify user", and "modify user security".
Logon and go to Update:

At the dot (.), enter ? for HELP.
.M USER S
Enter user`s MAILBOX number.

CONFIRM: Reset SECURITY CODE for MAILBOX 77777 ?
(Y/N, empty line = N ).
:Y
SECURITY CODE has been RESET.
The mailbox number 77777 has now the default mailbox password 1234, as seen in .L SYS 105
.L SYS
Enter system parameter index.
:105
INDEX VALUE (LST/MOD) PARAMETER NAME:
105 1234 L/M DEFAULT SECURITY CODE FOR MAILBOXES
