ocp quick question confirmation!!

Does anyone know the correct answer to this question!

For a tablespace created with automatic segment-space management, where is free space managed?

a in the extent
b in the control file
c in the data dictionary
d in the undo tablespace

i think it is a. Does anyone else agree. i know it is definately not d or c. as c is for dictionary managed segments which this is not. I know locally managed segments are managed in the bitmap header, however answer extent seems abit strange.

I'd go with 'a' as well. A bit of a strange question though mentioning 'extent' and not tablespace/segment/header.

You're right in your analysis of elimination as dictionary managed tablespace store the data in the data dictionary, the control file doesn't store this info and undo stores only undo information. The ONE ( HP-UX + Solaris + AIX + Tru64 = Unix)
