obtaining IP address of IP phone set from CS1000

We have a CS1000 using 1140E IP phone sets. We use DHCP for the phones to grab an IP address. My network engineer ran one of his regular scans on our network and detected an IP address with an SNMP community string set to public. From the look of the MAC address, it's one of our IP phone sets. So, I have 2 questions:

1. Is there any place in UCM to be able to trace which DN is using this specific IP address? Otherwise, I have no idea where to start, other than touching each phone set individually.

2. Once we determine which phone it is, where do you change the SNMP community string? I didn't even know there was an option for setting this.

use Ld 117 to print a list of dns configured for the specified IP address:

Prt IPDN <IP address>

Thank you! I was able to trace the IP, it returned the TN. So now I know which phone it is. Any ideas on where the SNMP string is set?

You can get the IP addresses of all of your IP sets in LD 117 by issuing the 'stat iset all' command.

LD 117 is also where you configure the SNMP settings for the system.

Thank you allenmac. Does it make sense (or is it even possible) for just one set to have a different SNMP setting? We've never intentionally gone into the SNMP settings for the system, so my guess is it is using a default setting.

I'm not aware of the ability to set a community string on an individual phone, so it is probably using the default string.
