We have an obscene caller calling in with a blocked number.
I have successfully blocked callers using EC500 and station mapping of those who displayed their number, but this on has me puzzled. How can I force callers to unblock caller id without going through telco at this point. Any ideas?

I don't think you can and neither can the carrier (privacy blah blah blah) There are third party products that can drop witheld calls and play the caller a message, securelogix springs to mind.

Are you using MCT for these calls?

Biglebowskis Razor - with all things being equal if you still can't find the answer have a shave and go down the pub.

Yes, but not sure how to get the ISDN Notification to work.
Was going to setup a recorder trunk group, tape the calls, and also use the ISDN Notification, but can't seem to get that field un-grayed out.

Obscene calls are illegal. Call the police, open a case. Police contact CLEC, privacy is a non-issue at this point.

You get another call, contact police, police contact carrier and get caller's ID and the wheels of justice turn.

While our problem wasn't obscene calls it was an illegal situation and once the police had the ID they asked us why the caller had a boner for us.

We had another situation with blocked ID where the caller would just hang up when connected to an agent. I changed the call flow to make callers that don't present ani listen to a 18 second message. It was enough to stop the harassment.

A little training would also help.
I once handled these calls for telco.
The caller gets his jollys by getting people upset.
If you don't get upset he will quit calling.
Once a 60 year old lady came into our office and wanted to see me about an obscene caller.
"Did he identify himself to you", I asked.
She said "Yes, he said his name was Mr. Reynolds." I knew the name, one guy had a habit of using this name and harrassing women over and over. We couldn't trap him.
She said "I need to tell you about this call. He said he wanted a favor, and I said 'What is the nature of your favor', and he told me. So I said, 'Well Mr. Reynolds, I'm 90 years old and I don't really think you'd be interested, but if you are, come on over'."
I kept in touch with her for quite a while and she was the only one who never got a repeat call from Mr. Reynolds.
We never did catch him. Modern digital switchs make that much easier.
