I wonder if someone can help me, I have a user form that has an date time picker on it and this is working fine on some machines but not others. All the machines are running XP and Office 2000 yet two of them will not load the form and giving either a run time error

run-time error'-21437352573 (80020003)

or

"could not load some objects as they are not available on this machine".

could anyone give me any pointers as to where to look

Regards

Olly

Have you checked the references ?
when in VBE (Alt+F11) menu Tools -> References ...

Hope This Helps, PH.

Olly,

Compare the available Userform controls on a machine that runs your app properly vs. one on which the error occurs. In the VBE, display your Userform, right-click on the Toolbox dialog then select Additional controls... This will bring up a list of all available controls on that particular machine. Currently displayed controls will have a checkbox marked. I'm running Office 2000 and do not see a Date/Time Picker as part of the default installation.

Mike,
did as you suggested and you are right on the machines that work there is a control called

microsoft date and time picker control 6.0 (sp4) and the ocx is located in C:\windows\system32\mscomct2.ocx

so i copied the ocx on to one of the machines that was not working and then used

regsvr32 mscomct32 to register it however I still cannot see it in the additional controls

do you have any ideas how i can solve this ?

The workbook i am having trouble with has been running in a different factory for 18 months with no problems but now we have started to use it here about 20% of the machines are having problems. The biggest problem is that the users all access the same file from a server so as soon as one of the machines that do not work opens the workbook it corrupts it

OK, I have sorted it now, i unregistered the ocx and then re-registered it and it works now. Thanks for everyones help
