I am looking for guidance on an object library issue I am having. I have both access xp and access 2003 clients loaded thru out the office. The database is a shared database on the server with many queries created.
If an Access 2003 client creates a new query and then saves the query, all of my Access XP clients can not run any pre-existing queries that have trim, left or right functionality in the query. The error message is this function is not defined.
The remedy I have been doing is going to an Access XP client and opening the database, then going to the Visual Basic editor and changing the Access object back to the Access 10 Object. I then have to recreate the queries using the Access XP clients and resaving the queries.
This is a pain in the butt to this. Is there any other way I can stop the Access 2003 client from changing the Object Library setting when they create a new query?
Thanks Dave
