My customer has a 6 port Nam with 4.0 software.
When I got there it was locked up. All attempts to access it said "Inactive feature" including F915. I had to reboot 3 times before it came up. Halfway through doing a backup it would abort. All Greetings were lost thoufh CCR menu prompts were intact. Attempts to rerecord greetings would exit from Admin session.
When the system was locked up there was a "7A" on the display inside the NAM,
Does anyone know what the 7A alarm means?
Does anyone have the Access2 alarm code definitions?
Does anyone have a Tee-off time and an opening?
Thanks in advance

Access/2 is the name of the software in the NAM that sits on top of OS/2 and communicates with the KSU. It sounds to me like the hard drive in the NAM is dying. Take this with a grain of salt, though, because I have very little experience with the NAM.

Do you hear grinding or clicking (or other hard drive trouble sounds) from within the NAM?

Alarm 7a means no hard drive connected.
New drive time. Looks like Alex was correct.

When I first arrived, there was no sound from the hard drive however when I rerbooted I could hear the drive start and run quite normally. At no time was there any uncommon noise even when a boot-up failed.

I'm familiar enough with the NAMs to recognize abnormal sounds.

I would get into Access2 (f915) and get a fresh sekur key disk. Just in case the one that should be there is no good. Your HD is on the fritz and needs replacement. Without the sekur all you will get is 2 channels. What type of NAM is it? You should be able to get a replacement disk on eBay or Norstar vendor. I have a few of them, but not a complete set.

Good Luck.
